Ms. Bellso is a National Restaurant Association registered ServSafe® proctor and certified ServSafe® instructor who provides ServSafe training and testing for select foodservice operator customers of Bunzl North America, a leading nonperishable supply chain specialist. Ms. Bellso has served as a regional administrator with Bunzl in the Atlanta, Ga., area for 12 years.
Prior to joining Bunzl, Ms. Bellso spent 15 years working in the foodservice industry. She was a culinary manager with Darden Restaurants in Syracuse, N.Y., an operations manager with Hard Rock Café in Boston, Mass., a general manager with Harvard University Dining Services in Cambridge, Mass., and a general manager with Sodexho Corporate Services in Atlanta, Ga. Additionally, Ms. Bellso spent two years working in the hospitality industry as an operations supervisor with Courtyard by Marriott and Marriott Hotels in Syracuse, N.Y.
Ms. Bellso is passionate about food and cooking for her family and professionally. She treats food safety as an essential ingredient from the moment she selects her food market until the time she serves a meal. When she teaches the ServSafe® course, she enjoys seeing her students experience that “a-ha moment” when they understand the importance of following food safety best practices within their own operations. She also enjoys helping her students discover the best ways to take the knowledge they have acquired back to their operations to share with their co-workers and staff.
Ms. Bellso holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Systems Management from Syracuse University.
